The first leg of the Hong Kong Trail begins near the modern building of the top tram station and follows the picturesque Lugard Road. A concrete path basically follows a contour line. The slopes are heavily forested but some stretches have very good views, which are especially spectacular during sunny summer days when visibility is the best.
