The Museum is formerly known as the Lei Yue Mun Fort, which was the most formidable fortifications in the territory built more than 100 years ago. It was also an important battlefield during the Battle for Hong Kong in 1941. Nowadays it is probably the most scenic of all museums of Hong Kong.
