The first part of the trail commencing near Wong Ngai Chung Water Reservoir is a gentle a nice climb along ridge with splendid. The first culmination is 436 m above sea level and is called Violet Hill. Above pictures from that point.

From Violet Hill the path descends to the pass called Tsin Shui Wan Au and then incredibly steeply climbs along concrete steps to the top of the Twins (363 and 386 m). This part is very demanding especially in 35 degrees heat.
