LESHAN Leashan is famous for its DAZU - 71-metres high - the largest sitting Buddha in the world (actually now the largest of all after the Buddha from Afghanistan have been destroyed). The whole complex also contains temples, pavilions, gates and quite interesting path connecting all the sights. The Buddha is the best seen from the river.
