Sadhus or "Holy Men" are inseparable from Kathmandu landscape. They can be found everywhere - mainly around tourists. spots. Those are actually nor a real  Sadhus "working" as beggars, posing for pictures and asking for money. The "real" ones can be easily found in one part of Pashupatinath Temple. Come in the evening and turn left just after crossing the bridge over Bagmati River. They occupy a large square and are happy to talk. Do not hesitate to do so. They are nice and interesting people.

KATHMANDU VALLEY

Nepali people are incredibly friendly. It is usually absolutely no problem to approach them and take pictures. Moreover, a lot of them like it and sometimes one should pretend to avoid loosing unnecessary shot. But not everybody of course like to pose and politeness or long telelens is essential. Once while walking in the countryside I stopped at a small shop for a drink. The owner started a friendly conversation. Suddenly I found myself in a position to drink (alone!) a bottle of local vodka (I would not dare to refuse) for our friendship and hardly persuaded him not to open a second one. And they he did not want anything form me but to talk and ... take a picture. Namaste.
