Once again the mountain range in Tibet - this time in full sunshine seen from the trail between Bharkhu and Barbal.

Tholo Syabru is one the largest villages in Langtang Valley. More detailed description of the village can be found under the Gosainkund trekking chapter. View from the village is spectacular and the most prominent mountains seen are Ganesh (left) and Naya Kanga (right).

UP THE LANGTANG VALLEY

From Tholo Syabru the main path descends steeply to the bottom of Langtang Valley near a big landslide. From there it climbs gradually up the valley mainly through the dense forest passing friendly lodges of Bamboo. The final destination on the second day is usually a large settlement called Lama Hotel.

First mountain views appear about 40 minutes passed Lama Hotel and since then, both Langtang II and Langtang Lirung can be admired from numeral clearings in the forest. Actually, Langtang gives a rare opportunity seeing snow covered Himalayan giants on the third or even second day from the beginning of the trek.
