After lunch in Landrung, we descended to the bottom of Modi Khola. So called "New Bridge" was washed away and we crossed the river over a temporary built fifteen minutes one down the valley and reached lodges of Himal Qu at *1425 m.

The trail climbs forested at first and then terraced slopes of Khladi Khola, crosses the river and climbs steeply again to reach Jhinhu Danda where we spent the second night on the trek. There are hot springs 15 minutes walk downhill.

Jinhu Danda marks beginning of a very steep climb to Chomrong which we decide to negotiate early in the morning before breakfast. Chomrong is a large Gurung village with many excellent lodges - one of the best along the trail. There is a Annapurna Conservation Area checkpoint where everyone must register. Beyond Chomrong the number of lodges up the valley is limited and sometimes there is not enough room for everybody. However this year, there was absolutely no problem and some lodges stayed completely empty or enjoyed one or few customers.

A climb to Sinuwa, Chomrong in the background. From there, the trail towards Annpurna Sanctuary follows Midi Khola sometimes traversing few hundred meters over its bad.
The lodges in Khuldigar have been closed but is still one of the best vewpoints over Machhapuchhre (6997 m).

Deurali, Nepal, Jacek Piwowarczyk, 2002
From Bamboo (a cluster of lodges at 2235 m) the trail climbs gently in the forest at first and then much steeper passing three lodges in Doval to reach Himalaya at 2900 m *2740 m where we spent the third night in one of two basic lodges. Next day after an early start we reached a huge stone called Hinku at 3100 m *3000 m, crossed the avalanche and then climbed to Deurali at 3150 m *3040 m for breakfast.
