SACSAYHUAMAN

Sacsayhuaman, a name which means "satisfied falcon," is at the head of what the Incas thought of as the puma-shaped city of Cuzco. This mountaintop site overlooking Cuzco was once a fortress and was hosted one of the fiercest battles between the Incas and their Spanish Conquistadors. Some impressive rocks weight as much as 300 tons.
